SaddleUp Arena was a dream come true for a lady by the name of Nan, an avid horsewoman, who had found her twenty acres of paradise here; the perfect spot for “her” place and that of her riding buddies. Nan had to move on, but her neighbors got together to ensure that SaddleUp Arena would continue and improve.

SaddleUp Arena adjoins farm lands that were first tilled during the Matanuska Colony era in the 1930s; These lands  along the northern-most headwaters of the Pacific Ocean now provide Alaskans with the majority of home-grown potatoes, carrots and vegetables

SaddleUp Arena is a Ride-at-your-own-Risk Facility. SaddleUp Arena requires all riders and users to sign a “Horse Riding Agreement, Liability Release, and Assumption of Risk Agreement,”commonly
referred to as a Liability Waiver.  Reference: “Equine Activity Statute, State of Alaska, Title 9. Code of Civil Procedure. Chapter 65. Sec. 09.65.145; A.S.09.65.290
